Working Party Manager – Aircraft Repair

About the role

The Working Party Manager leads the Working Party team responsible for major aircraft repair projects in China. This role ensures airworthiness, coordinates technical resources, and delivers repaired aircraft back to customers on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Working Party team’s operational performance, safety, manpower, workload and expenses.
• Lead people development, competence training and performance evaluation for all team members.
• Execute technical changes and repairs on delivered aircraft, overseeing a team sent by Airbus to the customer site.
• Establish the Working Party file and issue the Certificate of Release to Service in accordance with EASA/CAAC Part 145 rules and Airbus procedures.
• Act as Repair Manager for major repairs, from damage assessment through final release, coordinating spares, engineering, preparators, subcontractors and inspectors.
• Negotiate with manufacturing units and third‑party vendors to secure qualified mechanics, electricians and other specialists.
• Plan work scope, resources, documentation and logistics together with the preparation group.
• Conduct on‑site safety risk assessments and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Monitor progress, report accurately and ensure completion within agreed downtime and budget.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing technical repair teams.
• Strong competence in people development, training and performance management.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and liaise with customers and external vendors.
• Experience in overseeing complex, time‑critical repair projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EASA Part 145 compliance.
