Trial Clinical Pharmacologist – China

About the role

The Trial Clinical Pharmacologist (TCP‑CN) will support the clinical drug development of new and approved medicines in China, providing clinical pharmacology expertise throughout trial design, conduct and reporting. The role works closely with the Clinical Pharmacology Lead for Asia and with local regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacology input and develop the pharmacology sections of trial protocols and reports, supporting trial conduct.
• Assist the Clinical Pharmacology Lead‑Asia in planning and executing the pharmacology development strategy for China.
• Communicate with Chinese regulatory authorities and proofread official documents such as briefing books, slide decks and CTD sections.
• Facilitate communication with China teams to gather local needs and ensure objectives are met.
• May act as the Clinical Pharmacology Lead‑Asia for assigned projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Medicine, Pharmaceutics, Clinical Pharmacology or equivalent with ≥3 years experience, or PhD/MD with 0‑3 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of PK/PD, clinical pharmacology, biopharmaceutics, clinical drug development and relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Proficiency with pharmacokinetic software (e.g., Phoenix WNL) and graphic software (e.g., SigmaPlot).
• Understanding of pharmacometric modeling and simulation, and basic statistical principles for clinical pharmacology data.
• Excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills, with fluency in English and Chinese.
