Technical Project/Program Manager – AI+AR/Waveguide NPI (Shanghai)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project/Program Manager to lead AI+AR and waveguide NPI initiatives in Shanghai. You will drive projects from concept through implementation, coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project plans, define strategies, processes and resources, and manage the full project lifecycle.
• Utilize project‑management tools (reports, tracking charts, checklists, scheduling software) to monitor schedule and task details.
• Coordinate allocated resources across the division to meet performance objectives and manage purchase requisitions and orders.
• Lead multifunctional design teams, provide technical input, and resolve project complications.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth of expertise in a specialized technical discipline.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices.
• Leadership experience managing functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project scheduling software and other project‑management tools.
• Experience handling purchase requisition and order processes.
