Staff / Sr. Sales Account Manager - Automotive OEM

About the role

Renesas is seeking a Staff / Senior Sales Account Manager to lead its automotive OEM and Tier‑1 business. The role focuses on expanding revenue with key customers, driving design‑in of semiconductor solutions, and ensuring successful transition to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with automotive OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers such as SAIC, HASCO, DF, etc., and own annual sales targets.
• Identify new business opportunities, grow market share within existing accounts, and promote Renesas semiconductor portfolios for design‑in.
• Collaborate with customers to understand system requirements, manage the design‑win pipeline, and convert projects into volume production.
• Create account strategies, execute sales plans, monitor competitors, and align product positioning with roadmap.
• Work cross‑functionally with Product Marketing, FAEs, and distribution partners, leading joint visits and resolving quality, delivery, pricing, and technical issues.
• Drive demand forecasting, pipeline management, and order visibility while tracking KPIs and taking corrective actions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry, with a strong focus on automotive semiconductor sales.
• Proven track record selling to China‑East automotive OEMs and Tier‑1 customers.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• In‑depth semiconductor product knowledge.
• Expertise in automotive applications and system integration.
