Software Engineer (Kotlin/Swift) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a senior Software Engineer to lead the development of our Remote Device Management Platform. The role combines hands‑on coding with strategic oversight of mobile applications, modular SDKs and cloud integration, while working fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Drive technical direction for native mobile applications using Kotlin and Swift, ensuring high performance and seamless user experience.
• Design and lead the development of modular SDKs supporting Bluetooth (BLE) communication, device logging, and IoT Hub client modules, enabling plug‑and‑play customization for partners.
• Lead and manage external solution providers, conducting architecture reviews, ensuring code quality, and aligning deliverables with the long‑term roadmap.
• Design and oversee automation testing frameworks that validate the complete data journey, guaranteeing zero‑loss telemetry from device to cloud.
• Collaborate on cloud services and design REST/gRPC APIs to ensure robust data flow from physical devices through the app to cloud databases.
• Act as guardian of cybersecurity standards, ensuring compliance with Android/iOS store requirements, data‑privacy regulations, and secure device‑to‑cloud handshakes.
• Contribute to data modeling, system integration, and performance optimization for large‑scale device management.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience building distributed, user‑facing applications and cloud‑native services.
• Expert proficiency in Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Strong experience with .NET (C#) for backend integration and API development.
• Hands‑on experience with Bluetooth/BLE protocols, OTA firmware updates, and IoT Hub client integration.
• Proven track record delivering external‑facing SDKs or mobile bridges adopted by third‑party partners.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for multi‑hop data flows (Device → App → Cloud).
• Deep understanding of mobile security, OAuth, encryption at rest/transit, and App Store compliance processes.
• Experience designing frontend UX flows and integrating them with complex cloud backends.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, particularly in device‑management scenarios.
