Software Development Engineer

About the role

As a Software Development Engineer at QIMA you will help build and maintain enterprise‑class applications that power our global quality‑inspection platform. You will work closely with product, technical leads and fellow developers to deliver scalable, high‑performance services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, technical leads and other developers to design, prototype and develop enterprise‑class applications and services.
• Build services that are scalable, well‑documented and meet client expectations.
• Maintain existing code, improving maintainability, performance and scalability.
• Support software rollouts in production, debug and fix issues.
• Continuously improve code quality and test coverage.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Java development.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, thread‑safe programming, domain‑driven design, micro‑services patterns and distributed system architectures.
• Proven troubleshooting and application performance optimisation skills.
• Effective professional communication and experience working in an Agile environment.
