SoC/System Architecture Director - MPU & MCU

About the role

The SoC/System Architecture Director will lead the definition and development of system architectures for our microprocessor (MPU) and microcontroller (MCU) portfolio. You will work across hardware and software teams to create robust, power‑efficient solutions for industrial IoT, secure edge computing, and automotive applications.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve MPU & MCU system architecture aligned with market trends and industry standards.
• Translate customer requirements and use cases into detailed specifications for industrial, automotive, and edge‑computing products.
• Design scalable multi‑core processing and memory hierarchy solutions.
• Own program KPIs and drive performance, energy‑efficiency, and thermal‑management optimisations.
• Integrate security mechanisms such as secure boot, cryptographic accelerators, and trusted execution environments.
• Collaborate with silicon, firmware, software, and board‑design engineers to ensure seamless system‑level integration.
• Contribute to industry standards and define architectural guidelines and best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in microprocessor/microcontroller architecture, SoC design, and system‑level integration.
• Proven track record in use‑case analysis, performance optimisation, low‑power design and real‑time processing.
• Strong collaboration skills across multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
• Experience with product development processes in industrial or automotive domains.
