Site Representative – Suction Pile Construction

About the role

The Site Representative acts as the on‑site authority for the EPC contractor/owner, overseeing the full life‑cycle of suction pile fabrication, pre‑assembly, load‑out, marine transport and offshore installation at the Qingdao fabrication yard.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all phases of suction pile construction, including fabrication, marking, load‑out and offshore installation.
• Monitor suction penetration processes, water pumping, pressure control and final depth verification.
• Ensure compliance with dimensional, welding, coating and accessory installation specifications.
• Implement approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and witness inspections at hold points.
• Review and approve vendor/sub‑contractor quality documents such as WPS/PQR, NDT procedures and material certifications.
• Issue and follow up Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive corrective actions.
• Track daily/weekly progress, maintain a site diary, and report schedule risks, quality issues and HSE hazards.
• Prepare as‑built records, installation reports and final hand‑over documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Offshore, Civil, Mechanical or Naval Engineering, or equivalent.
• HNC/HND/NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline with significant relevant experience is acceptable.
