Shipowner Sales Lead – Global Marine Division

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a proactive Shipowner Sales professional to drive business growth within the Marine division. You will shape sales strategies, engage directly with ship owners, and champion Alfa Laval’s product portfolio in new‑building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the generation and development of business plans and convert actionable business cases into sales.
• Analyse market insights and ship‑owner buying behaviour to create targeted sales plans aligned with Marine division strategy.
• Engage ship owners through visits, meetings and interactions to understand needs, highlight product value and increase brand awareness.
• Collaborate with shipyard sales teams to develop profitable quotes that reflect customer requirements and unique selling points.
• Manage the customer grid and proactive planning using Alfa Laval’s tools, ensuring consistent use of OneCRM.
• Support the selection of Alfa Laval products during the new‑building maker selection phase to become the preferred supplier.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of relevant experience in management or business development roles within the marine industry.
• Extensive network with senior decision‑makers among ship owners, ship managers, leasing companies and related stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of industry dynamics, including classification societies, regulators and maritime associations.
• Customer‑centric mindset with a data‑driven, creative and strategic approach.
• Proven ability to operate in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong leadership presence, credibility and communication skills for building relationships with internal and external partners.
