Senior/Principal Clinical Pharmacologist

About the role

This senior/principal position leads the application of clinical pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD) and modelling & simulation (M&S) across drug development programs. The role combines study design, data analysis, regulatory interaction and mentorship to ensure optimal dose recommendations, especially for Asian populations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct clinical pharmacology studies, including dosing rationales and sampling schemes.
• Perform data analyses and modelling to define dose‑exposure‑response relationships.
• Justify dose recommendations for Asian populations using quantitative approaches.
• Promote and apply M&S methods throughout clinical development.
• Develop mathematical and statistical models to describe disease mechanisms, progression, and PK/PD.
• Conduct meta‑analyses to maximize use of existing data.
• Prepare and defend regulatory submissions and engage in regulatory meetings.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on assigned projects.
• Conduct literature research, publish findings, and share knowledge.
• Train and mentor junior clinical pharmacology staff.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) or a master’s with strong technical background and proven drug development experience.
• Extensive experience in early and late‑phase clinical development.
• Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
