Senior Tax Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Consultant to support our tax team in delivering high‑quality advisory services to clients. You will work closely with managers to manage tax engagements and ensure compliance with Chinese tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Managers and Senior Managers in handling tax engagements and client interactions.
• Research tax assignments and draft advisory documents for review.
• Liaise with clients on tax matters under the direction of senior staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of tax legislation to enhance technical expertise.
• Coach junior staff, review their work, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate tax documentation and records for audits and reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a consulting firm, preferably as a tax senior.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Tax, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese tax laws and local practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluent written and verbal English; CPA or TA certification is a plus.
