Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

The Senior Tax Analyst will lead complex China indirect tax compliance, advisory and risk management activities. Working closely with finance and business partners, the role ensures accurate tax reporting, supports tax projects and maintains strong relationships with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly tax reports, including VAT returns, VAT refund filings, stamp duty and other local tax filings.
• Execute month‑end closing tasks for tax accounting in line with SOX controls and US GAAP.
• Maintain tax governance, documentation standards and internal control processes.
• Provide day‑to‑day tax advice to finance and business teams on transactions and operational matters.
• Manage ad‑hoc tax matters such as capital injection reporting, VAT verification and tax audit support.
• Build and sustain effective relationships with tax authorities and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or CTA preferred.
• 3‑5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in multinational companies, shared service centers or Big 4 firms.
• Strong technical judgment, problem‑solving ability and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders and tax authorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English for business and technical communication.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP or Oracle.
