Senior System Engineer – Mechatronic Comfort Actuators

About the role

As a Senior System Engineer at Bosch Group in Changsha, you will lead the technical coordination for the development of mechatronic comfort actuators such as door regulators, sunroofs, seats and steering column adjustments. You will be responsible for the complete system lifecycle from concept through series production, ensuring optimal architecture, safety and performance of the embedded electric drive.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer requirements and create the System Requirements Specification (SyRS) for door, sunroof, seat and steering‑wheel systems.
• Develop and own the holistic technical concept, covering kinematics, actuation, sensors, control and safety.
• Coordinate cross‑functional motor development, aligning mechanical design, drive selection and electronics/software.
• Act as the primary technical contact for OEM/Tier‑1 customers, participate in design reviews and support sample testing.
• Conduct System‑FMEA and contribute to safety concepts according to ISO 26262 (ASIL).
• Plan and evaluate system tests to validate function, durability and acoustics.
• Collaborate closely with electronic development, production, quality and other departments to ensure seamless integration.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Several years of experience in automotive system engineering and motor design.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and interface with OEM/Tier‑1 customers.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 safety standards and System‑FMEA methodology.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
