Senior Specialist, Technical Account Management

About the role

As a Senior Specialist in Technical Account Management at Checkout.com, you will build and maintain strategic relationships with key enterprise clients, ensuring they get the most out of our payment platform. You will act as the primary technical point of contact, helping customers optimise their payment solutions and resolve any technical issues quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with key clients, serving as their primary technical contact.
• Understand client business goals and proactively identify opportunities to optimise payment solutions.
• Provide expert guidance, troubleshoot technical inquiries and resolve issues to minimise disruption.
• Deliver merchant demonstrations, technical training, workshops and product refreshers.
• Lead and coordinate new payment solution roll‑outs and technical migrations, working with cross‑functional teams.
• Gather client feedback, document feature requests and relay insights to product teams.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes, sharing relevant insights with clients.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in an analytical or technical role with stakeholder management.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with payments industry regulations and technical frameworks (3DS, SCA, AVS, MIT).
• Experience with API‑based integration methods and related tools.
• Knowledge of front‑end and back‑end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Results‑oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
