Senior Medical Science Manager (Hematology)

About the role

Roche is looking for a Senior Medical Science Manager for Hematology in Shanghai. The role provides field-based medical expertise for the assigned disease area and its related biomarker, working under the leadership of the Medical Science Manager Leader. It covers field medical strategy, data generation, stakeholder engagement and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the development, implementation and monitoring of the field medical plan, aligned with the country medical strategy, and define a short- to long-term vision including scientific communications and strategic partnerships with TAEs.
• Build long-term peer-to-peer relationships with TAEs and investigators, including biomarker experts, and collect TAE insights to update their profiles.
• Provide scientific support for medical training, scientific queries and speaker materials, and contribute to advisory boards.
• Lead local initiatives such as a regional pathology referral centre, and support site feasibility, trial enrolment and investigator engagement for Phase I-IIIa studies.
• Plan and generate access evidence, including RWE, clinical studies and data for local economic models, and handle Investigator Information Sheets in line with local laws.
• Translate clinical evidence into local value messages, deliver medical training and education programmes, and support Market Access colleagues with value dossiers for payers.
• Ensure all medical initiatives follow Roche SOPs, codes and local regulations.

Required profile

• Master's degree or above in Clinical Medicine, Pharma or Bioscience; clinical medicine preferred, bioscience candidates need at least 2 years of pharma experience in a medical-related role.
• Experience in the hematology therapeutic area strongly preferred; at least 2 years' experience in an equivalent medical function in a pharma company for the senior level.
• Strong medical expertise in the assigned disease area, data generation skills, project management and communication skills.
