Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable

About the role

Flexport is seeking a Senior AR Manager to lead the APAC accounts receivable function as part of our 2026 initiative to modernize and scale the global AR organization. This role owns cash collection performance, past‑due backlog reduction, and credit block mitigation across the region, while driving automation and AI‑enabled process improvements that align with Flexport's global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end AR performance for APAC, including DSO, collections effectiveness, and past‑due targets, reporting results to global finance leadership.
• Drive down past‑due backlog through structured collection strategies, escalation protocols, and proactive cash application.
• Lead automation and AI initiatives across the AR workflow (dunning, cash application, reconciliation, reporting) in partnership with Systems/RevOps.
• Partner with Billing, Operations, and client‑facing teams to resolve complex multi‑entity reconciliations and recurring disputes.
• Mitigate credit block by identifying trends, tightening upstream controls, and implementing preventive process changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA a plus).
• 8+ years in Accounts Receivable/Credit & Collections, with 3+ years managing teams in a multi‑entity, multi‑region environment.
• Proven track record reducing past‑due AR and improving DSO in high‑volume settings.
• Strong cross‑functional partnership experience with Billing, Operations, and client‑facing teams.
• Demonstrated people leadership: coaching, performance management, and team morale‑building.

Required skills

• ERP/AR systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP.
• Automation and AI tools (RPA, OCR, workflow platforms).
• Advanced Excel and BI reporting capabilities.
• Data‑driven KPI dashboard creation and analysis.
• Multicurrency and multi‑entity accounting knowledge.
