Senior Industrial Workspace Support Engineer

About the role

BASF is seeking a Senior Industrial Workspace Support Engineer to join its global follow‑the‑sun team. The role ensures reliable operation and support of Industrial Workspace services for production plants and warehouses worldwide, with a focus on the Greater China region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide service and operational support for Industrial Workspace services as part of a global follow‑the‑sun support organization.
• Support customers in production and warehouse environments in close collaboration with global technology and regional consulting teams.
• Operate technologies such as Enterprise Mobility Management solutions, Windows and Linux platforms, container‑based infrastructures, and Industrial IoT solutions.
• Collaborate with internal DevOps teams and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and ensure stable and secure service operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to service quality, operational processes, and platform stability.
• Manage the full lifecycle of industrial workspace devices, including enrolment, configuration, activation, suspension, return and decommissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience operating and supporting enterprise‑scale endpoint, mobility or platform services.
• Hands‑on experience in at least one area such as EMM solutions, Windows or Linux platform operations, IP networks, wireless technologies or security/authentication technologies.
• Strong communication skills, fluent English, and a proactive, collaborative mindset suitable for a global team.
