Senior Facility Engineer

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Facility Engineer to lead the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new equipment and utility systems at its Suzhou site. The role ensures compliance with local, company, and regulatory standards while supporting production and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate site activities for the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring smooth execution.
• Commission buildings and systems to meet all local, J&J, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production and QA teams, participating in equipment validation when required.
• Maintain utility equipment at optimal readiness and implement maintenance strategies in line with J&J and Chinese policies.
• Ensure SOPs and records comply with storage and retention standards.
• Manage engineering spare parts inventory in partnership with the stores supervisor.
• Liaise with local authorities and other site engineers.
• Guarantee facility engineering practices adhere to EHS policies and operate within capital and revenue budgets.
• Support technical audits and contribute to the department’s quality system improvement.
• Identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities and drive continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facility engineering, equipment installation, and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work closely with production, QA, and maintenance teams.
• Excellent organizational and liaison skills with internal and external stakeholders.
