Senior Director – China Sales Head

About the role

The Integrated Biologics China Sales Head is a senior commercial leadership position responsible for defining and executing Lonza’s China commercial strategy. The role drives sustainable revenue growth across Integrated Biologics and related businesses while strengthening Lonza’s presence in the fast‑growing Chinese biologics market.

Key responsibilities

• Build and implement the China commercial and territory strategy to meet sales targets.
• Lead, coach and develop the China Sales, Account Management and Business Development teams.
• Generate leads and develop opportunities aligned with platform capacity.
• Adapt commercial plans to evolving market dynamics and business priorities.
• Establish and nurture relationships with biotech companies, VCs, biohubs and incubators.
• Ensure disciplined sales and account‑planning processes for excellent customer experience.
• Provide data‑driven market insights to shape current and future service offerings.
• Partner with the China Value Creation team to execute strategic workstreams.
• Close contracts meeting profitability, risk and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Economics or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in senior sales, marketing or commercial leadership roles.
• Strong experience in biologics, CDMO or related life‑science environments.
• Proven track record of commercial growth and new‑business acquisition in China.
• Extensive people‑leadership experience in complex, matrix organisations.
• Fluent in Chinese and English.
• Data‑driven mindset with strong business acumen and customer focus.
