Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. The role focuses on designing, implementing and continuously improving secure, reliable and scalable DevOps capabilities that support application delivery, platform stability and operational excellence across a global financial markets technology estate.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable secure, repeatable and reliable software delivery.
• Automate build, deployment, configuration and environment provisioning using modern DevOps tooling.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code solutions for cloud and on‑premise platforms.
• Continuously improve deployment efficiency, environment consistency, scalability and operational resilience.
• Apply engineering best practices for automation, observability, reliability, security and maintainability.
• Participate in design reviews, operational readiness reviews and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Implement automated testing, quality gates, vulnerability scanning and compliance checks within delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, SRE, QA, product managers, security, infrastructure and business stakeholders in agile delivery processes.
• Mentor engineers on DevOps practices, automation standards, release governance and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 3‑8 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, release engineering, SRE or infrastructure automation.
• Strong experience with CI/CD platforms and Git‑based source control workflows.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell or Groovy.
• Hands‑on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration‑management tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Helm.
• Working knowledge of containerisation and orchestration platforms like Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
