Senior Decoration Engineer - Lacquering Process

About the role

The Senior Decoration Engineer will translate designers' colour concepts into production, acting as the main contact for decoration issues and ensuring smooth project execution with high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret designer colour ideas and manage them through the development process.
• Develop new lacquers/inks and establish reliable lacquering/printing processes and equipment.
• Continuously improve processes to reduce mass‑production costs while maintaining quality.
• Create procedures, work instructions and data sheets, and issue ECNs to meet QMSP requirements.
• Troubleshoot daily production issues with internal and external lacquering/printing suppliers.
• Support supplier audits, material localisation and laser‑marking specifications.
• Lead decoration engineers, allocate tasks and ensure smooth operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 8 years of experience in lacquering operations.
• Good understanding of lacquer chemistry and processes.
• Proficient in written, spoken and listening English.
• Ability to work under high pressure and travel up to 30 times per year.

Required skills

• Lacquering operation expertise.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.
• AutoCAD or UG (highly appreciated).
