Senior Clinical Pharmacologist – Quantitative Pharmacology

About the role

This senior quantitative pharmacology position is based in Zailab’s Clinical Pharmacology department. The role focuses on pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling and simulation across all stages of clinical development, supporting study design, dose selection and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct translational PK/PD, population PK, population PK/PD and exposure‑response analyses using model‑based approaches.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to develop and execute modeling & simulation (M&S) plans, and present findings to inform critical project decisions.
• Develop and review study designs, analysis plans and reports, interpreting PK/PD data for regulatory and internal audiences.
• Support continuous improvement of M&S capabilities by delivering training, evaluating novel tools and applying innovative quantitative methods.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of hands‑on PK/PD modeling and simulation experience.
• Master’s or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacometrics, mathematics, statistics, computational biology, biomedical engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong understanding of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles and commonly applied models.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NONMEM.
• Experience using R for pharmacometric analyses.
• Familiarity with Phoenix, Matlab or SAS for modeling and simulation.
