Senior Claims Officer (Liability & Property / Commercial)

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Senior Claims Officer to manage complex liability and property claims for its commercial portfolio in Guangzhou. The role involves moderate supervision and requires strong analytical and technical support capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle complex liability and property claims for commercial customers.
• Provide technical support to the claims team, including work‑simplification and automation initiatives.
• Deliver data analytics for commercial portfolios.
• Organise customer meetings and prepare PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist the Claims Manager with managerial and ad‑hoc tasks.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory, governance, and customer protocol requirements throughout the claim lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in CAR, liability and property claims, preferably with large and complex cases.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; recognised industry certification (e.g., Senior Associate of ANZIIF) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of liability and property insurance products, local legislation and industry standards.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) communication skills.
• Ability to interpret policy wording and apply litigation processes.
