Senior Buyer – Supply Chain & Procurement

About the role

The Senior Buyer will develop and execute supply chain strategies to ensure material availability and cost optimisation for Jabil’s electronics manufacturing operations. This role partners with internal teams and external suppliers to drive sourcing decisions, manage purchase orders and support customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Jabil supply chain strategies for strategic materials.
• Ensure on‑time material availability through MRP execution and coordination of receiving to production.
• Initiate RFQ activities, analyse quotations and recommend sourcing changes.
• Issue purchase orders, negotiate terms and monitor supplier compliance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction, delivery and quality performance.
• Track supplier performance on delivery, quality and service, applying corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Materials Logistics Management or related field.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in electronics manufacturing and materials planning.
• Professional certification (e.g., APICS, NAPM) preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Advanced PC skills, including proficiency with Jabil’s software packages.
• Strong mathematical abilities for calculations, rate, ratio and percent analysis.
