Senior Buyer – Indirect Sourcing

About the role

Eaton is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead indirect sourcing for CAPEX equipment and maintenance across its BA1 and BA2 facilities. The role combines strategic sourcing, vendor management, and project coordination to meet cost‑saving targets while ensuring reliable equipment supply.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle purchasing for production, test equipment and facility renovations, consolidating requirements and tracking milestones.
• Support category managers with supplier research, qualification, audits, and performance evaluation; build a reliable pool of mechanical, electrical, automation and infrastructure suppliers.
• Analyze market cost structures, monitor raw‑material price fluctuations and negotiate quotations, payment terms, delivery lead times, penalties and after‑sales conditions.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering and production teams during project validation, technical confirmation, sample verification and mass implementation.
• Execute PR/PO processes in SAP, maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies and safety regulations.
• Identify supply‑chain risks (lead‑time, price volatility, cross‑border delivery, customs) and develop mitigation plans to protect project schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical engineering or supply‑chain management.
• 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement, with strong emphasis on equipment sourcing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with e‑sourcing tools such as E‑RFQ and e‑auctions.
