Senior Auditor

About the role

Based in Shanghai, the Senior Auditor will support Chanel’s internal audit and risk management across Asia Pacific markets, including Japan. The role combines hands‑on audit execution with partnership to business units, helping to identify control gaps and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive audit work programs and test plans to assess key risks and control effectiveness.
• Prepare and manage document request lists and lead audit kickoff and planning meetings.
• Conduct fieldwork, evaluate business processes, and document findings with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Support senior audit managers on follow‑up actions, special projects and ad‑hoc assignments.
• Stay current on regulatory requirements, industry trends and best practices to enhance audit methodologies.
• Travel up to 30% across the Asia Pacific region to engage with Chanel teams and operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, CFE or CISA preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in internal audit, compliance or risk management, preferably in retail or luxury.
• Strong analytical mindset, high integrity and ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
• Hands‑on experience in data mining and data analytics.
