Senior AI Group Leader – China

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a visionary senior leader to establish and head a new, multi‑disciplinary AI Group in China. This high‑visibility position will shape the China‑specific AI strategy, align it with global objectives, and deliver market‑defining AI solutions for industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI strategy for the China market, translating emerging technologies into actionable roadmaps.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop a high‑performing AI team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Identify frontier AI and ML advances and assess their relevance for industrial applications in China.
• Gather market, customer, and regulatory insights to inform product direction and requirements.
• Lead the creation and prioritization of AI requirements, ensuring alignment across engineering, product, and commercial teams.
• Partner cross‑functionally with product management, engineering, and business units to deliver AI solutions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in AI/ML, preferably within industrial or enterprise software.
• Deep understanding of emerging AI and machine‑learning technologies.
• Track record of building and leading high‑performing technical teams.
• Strong ability to translate technical advances into market‑focused product strategies.
• Experience navigating the Chinese market, including customer needs and regulatory environment.
