Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, fixed‑asset accounting, month‑end closing, compliance and continuous process improvement for a global life‑sciences organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly financial reports in compliance with corporate and statutory requirements.
• Manage month‑end close activities, including accruals, pre‑payments and journal entries.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records – capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals and annual verification.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to finance transformation initiatives.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and respond to management requests as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of general‑ledger accounting and month‑end close processes.
• Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and a strong team player.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Solid knowledge of fixed‑asset accounting and depreciation.
