Secondary PE Teacher

About the role

Teachanywhere is seeking a qualified Secondary Physical Education teacher to join its boarding school in Shanghai. The successful candidate will deliver a dynamic PE curriculum to secondary students while actively contributing to the wider school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that align with UK, IBDP or local curricula.
• Support students academically and personally, emphasizing character development and well‑being.
• Participate in boarding life, including extracurricular activities and pastoral duties.
• Collaborate with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds to enhance the school environment.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and motivating atmosphere for all learners.

Required profile

• Fully qualified teacher with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
• Experience with UK and/or IBDP curriculum is desirable.
• Previous international teaching experience is a plus.
• Experience teaching English as a second language is highly desirable.
• Willingness to contribute to all areas of school life in a boarding setting.
• Ability to encourage and support students in both academic and personal matters.
• Team‑player mindset aligned with the school’s goals and mission.
