Robot Programming Intern (Lab Automation)

About the role

ABB's Service Robotics business line is looking for a motivated intern to join its robotics team in Shanghai. The position reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and covers lab project development and testing, as well as operation and maintenance of the Innovation Center. The intern works with the team on robot commissioning, proposal testing and on-site support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform test tasks independently according to test requirements from proposal engineers, complete robot programming and commissioning, deliver test videos and write test reports as required.
• Be responsible for robot programming, commissioning and optimization for proposal testing and demo units.
• Be responsible for vision system development and testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Automation, Robotics Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience in vision development is a plus.
• Good English communication skills.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, with good teamwork spirit and execution ability.

Required skills

• Familiarity with robot programming and commissioning, and knowledge of ABB robot programming.
• Strong learning ability, able to learn quickly and start work immediately.
• Basic electrical knowledge and strong hands-on skills, capable of independent robot commissioning and equipment operation.
