Research Sales Manager (Academic) – Shanghai

About the role

We are looking for a Research Sales Manager (Academic) to join our Shanghai team. In this role you will combine a consultative sales approach with deep industry knowledge to drive revenue and build lasting relationships with senior decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the sales pipeline through active account management and strategic account planning.
• Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to closing.
• Develop targeted, solution‑oriented proposals with appropriate positioning and pricing for software and services.
• Track pipeline and forecast weekly using CRM tools.
• Collaborate with clients and internal partners to resolve issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Represent the product portfolio at speaking engagements, industry events, and trade shows.

Required profile

• University degree or Master’s in a relevant field.
• Technical aptitude with strong computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience working in a team‑selling environment.
• Solid understanding of negotiation and solution‑selling value propositions.
• Proven track record of generating new business sales.
