Regional Manager - East China

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Regional Manager for East China to lead commercial activities, drive revenue growth and strengthen the airline’s market position in the region. Based in Shanghai, you will work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all sales activities to achieve revenue targets while aligning with corporate commercial and marketing goals.
• Identify and develop regional opportunities to increase market share across key customer segments.
• Monitor market trends and competitor actions, recommending timely sales strategies.
• Track route profitability and suggest improvements; evaluate emerging market segments.
• Lead, coach and develop regional sales and retail teams, ensuring high productivity and sales discipline.
• Build and maintain relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, local authorities and industry bodies.
• Negotiate incentive agreements, manage marketing fund allocation and meet ROI targets.
• Prepare quarterly and annual sales business plans and budgets.
• Lead regional sales meetings, escalating broader issues to functional managers as needed.
• Manage regional cost centres responsibly and act as Emirates’ primary spokesperson in the region.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading commercial or sales teams within the aviation or related travel sector.
• Strong market knowledge of East China and ability to spot growth opportunities.
• Excellent relationship‑building and negotiation skills with trade partners and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering revenue and profitability targets.
• Effective communicator able to represent the brand professionally on and off‑site.
