R&D Project Leader

About the role

The R&D Project Leader will drive complex, cross‑functional projects from concept through market introduction or internal delivery. You will set strategic direction, manage schedules, risks and stakeholder expectations, and ensure alignment with Philips’ organizational strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead multi‑domain projects, coordinating internal teams and external partners.
• Articulate complex schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions.
• Report project status, KPIs and milestones to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and apply them to consumer product development.
• Support continuous improvement, compliance and change‑management processes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of engineering/R&D project management experience leading large, complex programs.
• 5+ years leading cross‑cultural, geographically dispersed teams in small domestic appliances.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business or a related field.

Required skills

• Project Management methodologies (PMP, Prince2, Agile).
• Strong knowledge of electronics and mechanical design for consumer products.
• Risk and issue management expertise.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
