R&D Engineer – Mechanical Structure Design

About the role

We are looking for a motivated R&D Engineer to lead the mechanical structure design of floor‑scrubber sub‑modules. You will work closely with product teams to turn concepts into manufacturable solutions while ensuring reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural designs for designated floor‑scrubber components using Creo.
• Participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback, and optimise designs for manufacturability.
• Support feasibility studies during concept and scheme stages and track project progress.
• Engage in DFM discussions, applying manufacturing constraints to design decisions.
• Troubleshoot assembly, production, and quality issues during trial and mass production.
• Execute reliability and performance test plans, record results and perform analysis.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs, test reports, DFMEA drafts and design specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in structural design of mechanical products.
• Strong knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die‑casting, stamping, machining and sheet‑metal fabrication.
• Proactive, responsible attitude with the ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
• Basic English reading and writing skills; simple oral communication is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Creo (Pro/E) and ability to pass a practical operation test.
• Experience with CAE tools such as ANSYS Mechanical or Creo Simulate for structural analysis.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DFM, BOM creation and engineering drawing standards.
• Knowledge of reliability testing, performance testing and common manufacturing defects.
