Quality Engineer – Production Line (Guangzhou)

About the role

The Quality Engineer will support daily quality operations for one or more production lines at our Guangzhou site. You will ensure product compliance with internal standards and customer requirements, driving continuous improvement and robust outgoing quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage deviations, conduct root‑cause analysis (A3, 5‑Why, FRPS) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Apply structured quality tools such as 8D, Six Sigma, SPC/SQC, and control plans to address non‑conformities and out‑of‑spec batches.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve line‑level issues, support new product introductions, MOC, PFMEA and risk assessments.
• Handle blocked inventory, coordinate rework, release and improvement measures for non‑conforming products.
• Act as the customer quality liaison, managing complaints (CCMS 8D), audits, reviews and documentation.
• Maintain quality data, reports and ensure timely submission of customer documentation.
• Lead or participate in internal audits, quality improvement projects and support the Quality Manager in fostering cross‑departmental collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong knowledge of quality methodologies (8D, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, APQP/PPAP).
• Familiarity with VDA 6.3 audit requirements is preferred; DOE knowledge is a plus.
