Project Purchasing Engineer – DCCC

About the role

As a Project Purchasing Engineer you will drive supplier and part development for new projects, ensuring cost targets and quality standards are met. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to monitor market trends, launch new parts, and manage the full procurement lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor procurement market and competition for technology trends.
• Manage new part and new supplier launches.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships, including technical reviews and price negotiations.
• Lead project management activities and track progress up to one year after SOP.
• Handle RPP, MPP projects and ECR processes.
• Set up and maintain SAP data.
• Conduct RFQs, validation and comparison of new parts.
• Identify localization opportunities for materials, parts and techniques.
• Coordinate SE work with suppliers and oversee concept competitions.
• Scout, select and qualify suppliers, including PUQ and process acceptance.
• Lead pre‑sourcing meetings for supplier pre‑selection.
• Define quality requirements during technical talks with suppliers.
• Manage change initiatives related to materials, parts or techniques.
• Oversee external procurement projects and prototype/sample procurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience and 1 year of project management in the mechanical or electronic industry.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, TS 16949 and QS 9000 quality management systems.
• Proven experience in supplier development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
