Project Manager – Industrial Projects

About the role

Join Valmet as a Project Manager leading complex industrial projects in the pulp, energy and circularity business. Based in Shanghai (or Wuxi), you will be the central driver from contract signing through to project completion, ensuring technical, financial and schedule targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full project execution, managing scope, schedule, cost and quality while complying with contractual commitments.
• Act as the primary customer contact, fostering proactive relationships and coordinating communication across internal teams and external partners.
• Manage contracts, changes and claims, ensuring clear documentation and milestone handling.
• Drive project planning, budgeting, forecasting and risk management, coordinating procurement, HSE and documentation activities.
• Monitor progress, report performance, ensure safe execution and support site activities and warranty delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (pulp & paper, mechanics, energy or related field).
• 5+ years of project management experience in pulp & paper or other process industries.
• Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel as required by project needs.
