Production Worker

About the role

The Production Worker is a key member of a manufacturing team, responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment. The role ensures that products are manufactured according to specifications, schedules, cost targets and quality standards while keeping accurate daily production records.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor machine tools, chemical processing, assembly and packaging equipment.
• Move, pack and sort raw materials and finished goods.
• Monitor product quality, identify faulty items and initiate re‑manufacturing when necessary.
• Maintain accurate daily production logs for performance analysis.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of job procedures and tools acquired through work experience or vocational training.
• Works under moderate supervision; problems are generally routine but may require interpretation of procedures.
• Ability to communicate information that may need explanation or interpretation.
