Production Team Manager

About the role

Alfa Laval is looking for a Production Team Manager to lead a manufacturing team in Kunshan. You will be responsible for safety, quality, delivery and cost performance while developing your people to achieve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Set and follow up targets for the team and individual members, aligned with unit‑level goals.
• Act as process owner for safety, quality, delivery and cost, ensuring compliance with SOPs and audit requirements.
• Drive daily performance through presence on the shop floor, performance meetings and improvement activities.
• Serve as the link between the factory and support functions, handling quality deviations, line stops and claim processes.
• Lead ALPS initiatives such as TPM, 5S, PRP, SOP and Kaizen, and conduct regular audits.
• Develop and empower team members, removing obstacles and providing resources needed for success.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership and people‑development skills with a results‑driven mindset.
• Basic financial knowledge and solid understanding of product, manufacturing and process concepts.
• Experience with continuous‑improvement tools such as 5S, Six Sigma or Kaizen.
