Production Planner

About the role

The Production Planner will develop detailed daily, weekly and monthly production plans aligned with the long‑term master plan, ensuring optimal use of personnel, equipment and material inventory while meeting customer order priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Create and adjust production schedules to match order priorities, equipment capacity and workforce availability.
• Manage material flow by coordinating direct purchasing, inventory levels and supplier deliveries to support uninterrupted production.
• Monitor workshop staffing, overtime and overtime approvals based on order status.
• Analyse forecasts, costs and capacity to identify bottlenecks and improve overall equipment utilization.
• Prepare periodic performance reports, investigate plan deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and update MRP/AX system parameters (minimum stock, order quantities, lead times) to shorten delivery cycles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, logistics or foreign trade.
• 3–5 years of production planning experience, including at least 3 years in metal‑processing environments and inventory control.
• Proven ability to read and create flow charts and to develop standard planning processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics/AX.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
• Experience configuring MRP parameters, safety stock and reorder points.
• Knowledge of bill of materials, production routing and standard time calculations.
• Ability to perform forecasting and capacity analysis.
