Production And Inventory Control Manager

About the role

MAEN DONATI is looking for an experienced, hands‑on operator to take end‑to‑end ownership of our inventory and logistics operations in China. The role covers the full flow from demand forecasting and purchasing through factory production, inbound logistics, warehousing and customer fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Own inventory planning, demand forecasting, safety stock and replenishment.
• Maintain accurate stock visibility across factories, production, transit, warehouses and Shopify.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier documentation, deposits and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate directly with Chinese factories, fulfilment centres and logistics partners.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, stockouts, damaged products and fulfilment exceptions.
• Standardise SKUs, product data, packaging data and naming conventions.
• Organise quality inspections at factory level and track recurring defects.
• Evaluate and implement scalable inventory, purchasing and reporting systems.
• Replace spreadsheet dependency with reliable processes, automation and controls.
• Create the inventory and logistics department from the ground up.

Required profile

• Based in the Guangzhou / Pearl River Delta region.
• Fluent in professional Mandarin and English.
• Strong experience with Chinese factories and suppliers.
• Has owned inventory planning, purchasing and logistics, not merely reporting.
• Understands international e‑commerce, fulfilment and Shopify operations.
• Comfortable visiting factories, warehouses and operational partners.
• Can operate independently in a fast‑growing, changing environment.
• Has implemented or improved an ERP, WMS or inventory‑management system.
• Think like an owner and resolve problems before they affect customers or revenue.
