Product Development Applications Engineer

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Product Development Applications Engineer in Shanghai. The role configures and supports KLA software applications used in semiconductor manufacturing, working closely with customer engineering, KLA engineering and marketing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and support KLA software applications in semiconductor manufacturing, responding promptly to customer requests.
• Independently configure and support Anchor software applications with minimal supervision, solving issues using the applications effectively.
• Understand existing recipes, tune them to address production issues under the supervision of senior engineers, and apply hot fixes to urgent cases.
• Identify and troubleshoot common problems efficiently, with a basic understanding of the underlying systems.
• Provide escalation support to the onsite field service engineer and coordinate remote and local troubleshooting.
• Provide basic training to customers and prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required profile

• Good communication skills and the ability to understand customer needs and address their concerns.
• Minimum qualification: Master's degree with 0 years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience.
