Process Support Engineer – PSE-CVD, CMP, Etch

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Process Support Engineer (PSE) to guide semiconductor equipment through its full lifecycle, from concept to qualification. You will work on‑site with customers, diagnose systems, and support the service and repair of complex CVD, CMP and Etch tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑visibility customer support through on‑site installations, system diagnoses, and repair of complex equipment.
• Collaborate with customers and R&D teams to develop cutting‑edge processes for advanced semiconductor chips.
• Create hypothesis experiments and design of experiments (DOE), analyze data statistically, and compile high‑level reports.
• Troubleshoot complex problems, perform root‑cause analyses, and resolve difficult process engineering issues.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers to build relationships and trust.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor fab or equipment industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
