Principal Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Principal Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the recruitment of software engineering, product, data, AI and other technical talent across China. Reporting to the APAC Talent Acquisition Leader, you will shape hiring strategies that support the company’s growth in industrial software.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with R&D, product portfolio and engineering leaders to understand workforce plans and technical hiring needs.
• Own the end‑to‑end recruitment process for technical roles, from intake to offer management and hiring follow‑up.
• Design and execute tailored sourcing strategies for positions such as C#/.NET developers, Angular developers, Cloud and DevOps engineers, software architects, product managers, QA engineers, data engineers and AI professionals.
• Build and maintain strategic talent pipelines for immediate and long‑term hiring requirements.
• Proactively source high‑quality passive candidates via professional networks, talent communities and employee referrals.
• Advise hiring managers on talent availability, candidate profiles, assessment methods and interview best practices.
• Collaborate with internal sourcing teams and external recruitment agencies as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior or principal technical recruiter, preferably in the software or industrial technology sector.
• Strong ability to partner with senior business leaders and HR partners.
• Excellent understanding of technical roles and the talent market in China.
• Demonstrated success in building sustainable talent pipelines and delivering a high‑quality candidate experience.
