Principal Product Quality Engineer – SiC

About the role

Nexperia is seeking a Principal Product Quality Engineer specialized in Silicon Carbide (SiC) to lead quality management within its development team. You will bridge failure mechanisms with reliability metrics, ensuring that SiC products meet the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Quality Management in the development team and define qualification approaches for SiC product developments.
• Implement and enforce quality procedures and standards (Nexperia, JEDEC, AEC‑Q101, AQG 324F, and customer‑specific).
• Develop final test specifications, verify them, and support customer requests and complaint handling.
• Identify quality gaps, perform root‑cause analysis for yield loss, and drive containment and corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and support follow‑up activities.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor quality engineering, preferably with wafer fab and assembly processes.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor physics and SiC applications.
• Fluent spoken and written English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, influence stakeholders and travel when required.
