Platform Architect – Oral Healthcare

About the role

The Platform Architect for Oral Healthcare will lead the definition and evolution of Philips' platform strategy, ensuring alignment with portfolio goals and regulatory requirements. This role bridges product management, engineering and manufacturing to deliver a reusable, high‑quality platform for oral healthcare devices.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the reference architecture into an agreed platform architecture.
• Collect and define platform scope, functional and non‑functional requirements and priorities with stakeholders.
• Define platform architecture and interfaces, optimizing commonality, reuse and future options.
• Specify technology, interfaces, supply and manufacturing base (make or buy) together with relevant functions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, IP, security, privacy and quality standards.
• Drive development and engineering of the platform together with the Project Manager and oversee system integration, verification and validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product architecture, product development design or hardware engineering, preferably in consumer or medical devices.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Certified Systems Architect (CSA) are a plus.
