Plant Finance Controller – Consumer Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Plant Finance Controller to lead financial reporting and control functions for a manufacturing site within a leading consumer goods multinational in Shanghai. The role ensures accurate financial information, compliance with standards, and provides analysis to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the plant’s financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Prepare, review and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial analyses to aid decision‑making.
• Control financial transactions, maintain proper documentation and support audit activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.
• Analyse financial data and deliver actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial information.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting or finance, preferably within FMCG or retail manufacturing.
• Experience in financial controlling for manufacturing sites.
• Knowledge of local (Chinese) and international accounting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in English communication.
