About the role

We are looking for a Senior Tax Consultant to support our tax engagement team. You will work closely with managers to deliver high‑quality tax advice to clients, maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, and ensure compliance with Chinese tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist managers in handling tax engagements and client communications.
• Research tax assignments and draft advisory reports.
• Liaise with clients on tax matters under manager direction.
• Help build and maintain relationships with clients and tax officers.
• Stay up‑to‑date on Chinese tax law and best practices.
• Coach junior staff, review their work and ensure quality.
• Participate actively in team activities and follow internal guidelines.
• Maintain organized tax documentation for audits and reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a consulting firm, preferably as a tax senior.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese tax laws and local practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• CPA or Tax Advisor (TA) certification preferred.
