About the role

The school is seeking a bilingual Drama Teacher to deliver a dynamic Music and Drama programme for secondary students. The role involves creating an engaging learning environment that supports both Chinese and international curricula.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Music and Drama lessons that encourage active learning.
• Assess, track and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a classroom atmosphere that promotes high expectations and motivates students.
• Identify and meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with English as an additional language.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events and pastoral care duties.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and contribute to the school’s image and profile.

Required profile

• Qualified degree from an established university.
• PGCE/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum two years of full‑time, school‑based teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary Music and Drama curriculum.
• Proficient artist or musician with a relevant specialism.
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language.
• Ability to inspire a love of learning and support each child’s achievement.
• Positive team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
