Merchandiser Assistant – Supplier Management

About the role

As a Merchandiser Assistant you will act as the main liaison between Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s headquarters and its suppliers, ensuring smooth order processing from placement to delivery. You will collaborate daily with teams in Copenhagen and Shanghai to optimise supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.

Key responsibilities

• Place and monitor orders, verify product data, manage adjustments, cancellations and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Maintain and update master data in internal systems (PLM, ERP, AX).
• Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities and delivery terms with suppliers.
• Communicate order changes, ETD, compliance and quality concerns to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify production problems, propose alternatives and develop contingency plans.
• Collaborate with commercial, planning, compliance, quality, CSR and logistics teams on testing, factory evaluations and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in supplier or merchandise management.
• Strong commercial mindset with understanding of European markets.
• Excellent negotiation, accuracy and attention‑to‑detail.
• Proactive, organised and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (Microsoft super‑user).
• Experience with PLM, ERP and AX systems.
• Strong data entry and master‑data maintenance capabilities.
